Bare Bones issue 9

Can you believe it... 9 issues in and it is still as grimy as the first one. That's what we like and that's what you get you sod! Tonight the madness happens once more and in the same claustrophobic space we all love and know.

See you there.

The American Dreamer - Arizona

Niall, Katy and Wild Cat... We had fun. Mexican food, guns, whiskey, sunsets and unsettling suburbs on the outskirts of the desert. I searched for the banal and found it quite beautiful.

Arise

Waking up at 3am nearly every morning for a week to meet Ula Pontikos and shoot Sunsets was hard but liberating. Taken in 2009 and finished last month this almost became the film that never happened. Short and mood led, we saw some interesting moments London City had to offer. These are the hours compos mentis people don't witness too often.

Other Peoples Problems - Breton

I was fortunate enough for the lads in Breton to like my photos enough to ask me to use one for their album. With out even flinching they chose from 3 images and this is the final product. The album is off the hook and they are a good bunch of fellows to boot. My self and Roman, who leads the band, are planning on an magical day out to a fun park to consume inspiration and take pictures. Looking forward to bringing it all back.

Arizona

Motel 6 and a full bottle of fine bourbon giving us a well deserved break on this mini adventure in to AZ's wonderful countryside and strange small towns. It is day 1 and I have seen some pretty amazing stuff. Already thinking of coming back to film the strange towns and their inhabitants off the beaten track on route to Phoenix. The bland beauty I find fascinating seems to be the running theme and finding that seems to be easy. Plentiful sparse concrete suburbs surrounded by dust and horizon. Just hold off on the rain please.

I'm 2 hours from Glasgow...

And L.A. seems to be at the fore front of my mind. Maybe because of the Hollywood element to my trip Tomorrow, being by the sea and watching someone try commit homicide are two things on the agenda. Filming started a while ago but my time is just beginning.
